Red Arrow’s Four stage process

The first two questions that we ask are “Can we help?” and “Are we a good fit?” We have an extensive pre-engagement audit process that we go through to ensure that our services are a good fit for any potential clients.

After we answer these questions, we offer to have them undergo a business diagnostic. This process takes around an hour from start to finish. It outlines what the current business state is as well as what it could achieve if it adopted our best practice procedures and systems. Business owners can expect one of two outcomes addressed:

  • What profit should the business in question make from the current turnover?
  • What profit could the business achieve if we maximised its growth?

These sessions are purely complimentary and a business owner working with us can opt out at any time. These audits let both parties understand what opportunities exist and whether or not the business is a good fit for our business consulting services. We’ll finish with a 30-minute review where we find out more details about the current state and where the business owner wants it to go.

The second stage of our four-part process is strategic planning. This is where our financial consultants will help the business owners decide where they want their business to go and what they hope to achieve by working with our staff.

We help formulate a personal vision, a business vision, mission statement, business strategy and a culture statement. This step lets owners break their business up into manageable portions so they don’t get overwhelmed. It allows them to concentrate on one part at a time.

The next step is where our business consultants go to the operational level of the business with the business owners. We want to get an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day operations.

At this stage, our business consultants help the owners plan and decide who is going to do what and when across the areas of products and services, sales and marketing, finance, human resources, and systems and procedures.

The final and arguably the most critical stage of our entire four-stage process is the implementation process. The first three stages gave the business direction and a plan for how the business is going to achieve the vision and the actions that the business owner has to undertake to put the plan in place.

The fourth stage is where we put everything in motion. It’s all about continually reviewing the business’s progress against the plan and holding all of the parties accountable for delivering the desired outcomes.
